"Like most, my goal is to play football at the next level. Unlike most, and as my GPA clearly indicates (4.0-weighted), school will come first. Please know, however, that I have an unquenchable passion for this game and my teammates which serves as my internal motivation. I feel fortunate in the fact that, in addition to a sound mind, God has given me some physical gifts. I know I have such gifts because in February '22, I attended a Rival's Combine in Los Angeles. Without any technical training or preparation, I scored well in objective tests for speed (4.57-hand; 4.62-electronic) and agility (4.09 shuttle: 4th best score in the entire Los Angeles combine-1085 participants). Although I have experienced past successes at my high school in both track and football, I feel I am just now starting to realize my potential on the football field. All I ask is that you grant me the honor of attending your school and playing for your program. If you give me a chance to put in a championship effort with my teammates every day, to become the best we can on and off the field, I guarantee you that you won't be sorry. Thank you for considering me at this most important time in my life."
Great News! Anthony committed to URI!
Delgado’s Week 2 football previews: Why Santa Ana vs. Garden Grove is a classic matchup: No. 23 Troy (2-0) at Irvine (1-1), Friday, 7 p.m.
What’s the attraction: "The Troy offense has been electric, averaging 49 points a game, but the Warriors face their toughest test of the season in Irvine. Warriors coach Michael Echaves is excited to see how his team stacks up against the Vaqueros. “We haven’t played a competitor as tough as Irvine,” he said, “so we’re anxious to see how we perform.” Troy is led by QB Ryan Maturo, running back Fischer Huss and wide receiver Anthony Santoro while the Vaqueros will need Joseph Tierney, Nathan Sasaki and Kendyn Beaver to have big games to bounce back from a loss to Canyon last week."
Anthony attends Troy High School in Fullerton, Ca.
